PUBG Mobile has made some really quick moves to make a comeback in India. Firstly, Krafton Inc. made a deal with Microsoft, to have Azure as the new host of the game. Microsoft Azure is Microsoft’s server and cloud arm, and this collaboration will result in Microsoft hosting all PUBG games, including PUBG Mobile. Additionally, they announced PUBG Mobile India to be a brand new version of the game for Indians.
PUBG Mobile India released its first teaser featuring the pro gamers and streamers from India- Dynamo, Kronten, and Jonathan with the “Coming Soon” announcement. However, Kronten in his statement said that he expects PUBG Mobile India to drop sometime this week, other Indian streamers are anticipating the same.
Here’s What Indian Gamers Expect From PUBG Mobile Indian Version
In the latest development, PUBG launched a new website for India- PUBG Mobile India Official. The announcement kindled the flames of hope in the hearts of PUBG fans in India. The Indian gamers expect PUBG to return with a number of changes.
PUBG Mobile India will be completely different from the global version for the Indian player base.
“The outlook for the game is good only. It’s just that whatever the competitions that were being held with the global version, won’t be there in the Indian version. There will be tournaments for the Indian version and then after that, they will collaborate with the global version in a similar fashion as the Korean version”, said Hemant Middha (an ex-team member of SouL with the gamer tag SouL Frost) in an interview with The Indian Express.
The setting from an actual island for battle royale is said to be changed to a “virtual simulation training ground”. To reduce the “video games cause violence” arguments, the PUBG Mobile Indian version will show the blood and hit effects in green color. With an investment of $100 million, Krafton is planning to open a regional office in India to handle the logistics of the game.
The PUBG Mobile India trailer was expected today with the game to be launched on 20th November 2020. Hence, with the delay in the launch of the trailer, the comeback of the game is also expected to be delayed for a few days.
