A "coming soon" video for PUBG Mobile India has been released by Krafton on the official YouTube channel. The long-awaited announced a rebranded PUBG Mobile for India with a new logo and details on pre-registration and privacy.
After months of rumors and speculations among the Indian gamers, it seems that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is finally making some progress. Last month, PUBG Mobile India uploaded a video on its official YouTube channel suggesting that the launch of the game is imminent in the Indian market.
As the reports suggest, PUBG Mobile India aka Battlegrounds Mobile India could launch in either May or June this year. However, the game will not release as PUBG Mobile India but as Battlegrounds Mobile India.
Details on Battlegrounds Mobile India
The game will launch as a free-to-play experience on mobile devices and will have its own eSports leagues and tournaments. Besides this, the game will also have exclusive in-game events like outfits and features.
PUBG Mobile India will feature diverse content that is India-specific. The upcoming eSports ecosystem is expected to give a huge boost to the eSports scene in India. With a high prize pool, these tournaments will provide a platform for PUBG Mobile Esports players.
The privacy policy of the upcoming Battlegrounds India deals with the underage users:
- The game will knowingly not collect, use or share any personal information for those under 18 years of age without verifiable parental consent or as permitted by law.
- For users under 18 years of age, they will be required to provide the mobile phone number of their parent or guardian for consent.
- Users under 18 years of age can play the game only for three hours every day.
- The users under 18 can only spend amount up to ₹7,000 daily, for using in-game paid services.
Pre-Registration To Battlegrounds Mobile India
Krafton Inc unveiled the new logo and announced that the game would have a pre-registration period before launch. The official announcement also revealed that the publishers will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop an Esports ecosystem around the game.
Popular PUBG content creator Maxtern revealed that the game developers are looking forward to launching the game by May-end or June. While Krafton is yet to make any official announcement on the launch date.
